cutting off and victimisation
I have been having a problem with my manager who is now "performance managing" me. I feel that i have been singled out and dont know what to do. I have rang my cwu deliver area rep(we dont have our own), and he says put in a stage one, that is all well and good but i need the help now. I have been threatens me with a dismissal interview if i cut off again (at my finish time), as it is being treated as will full delay. I need help or someone to just talk to.

Re: cutting off and victimisation
Sounds like the typical sort of scumbag that gets made up to DOM.
He cannot force you to go over your time. Just insist to him, that your contracted hours are all he's getting, and he is going to have to do, what he's paid to do....Manage the situation.
Bullying and harrassing staff, is not how to manage any given situation.
He's probably a failed postman, now he's all set to prove he's a failure as a manager, what a surprise, eh?

I would make sure I had a witness when I told him I was going to cut off, make a note of it and get your witness to sign it and the managers reaction, take notes of everything relevant and send a copy to your rep,go to the doctors with stress as this is obviously affecting you.Stick to your guns and if all else fails go to his local pub and kick the s**t out of him (only joking on the last bit)Arron9999 wrote:I have been having a problem with my manager who is now "performance managing" me. Re: cutting off and victimisation
I know of one postman who got wrongfully sacked and his brother is now waiting for the Manager to turn down a wrong road then beat the living sh1t out of him.

Some cut-off and get away with it, and some do not. But, some are not telling the full story - some not as hard as they claim to be... I think

Indeed, like six penalty points and a £425 fine as a lesson about careless driving .DB1100 wrote:Some lessons are painful, but they are the best rememberedNWpostie wrote:I know of one postman who got wrongfully sacked and his brother is now waiting for the Manager to turn down a wrong road then beat the living sh1t out of him.

NEVER have a meeting or any type of discussion with a manager without a witness being present, make notes of dates and times that things are said or done.I have learned this lesson the hard way, three managers have blatantly lied in a case that I am involved in.This is what we are up against sadly.

What he said,
If its conduct code related you need 24 - 48 hrs in writing.
RM managers have form for lying in an ET as well.

Re: cutting off and victimisation
Ring your Area Delivery Rep again and tell him you want a face to face meeting with him to discuss the problems you are having. That is what they are meant to be there for. If he refuses to meet you then contact the Branch Secretary and ask him why his Area Delivery Rep refuses your request.
