Meal breaks- urgent help needed

Hi all i've been trawling here for ages trying to answer this, so i've given up and asking!!
If your out on a P&L and want to take your break at the local cafe 2mins away does your break time
start from when you leave your duty or when you get to the cafe within reasonable distance.
Having a guy getting the third degree cause DOM says it's from when you break-off, but if you were in
the office and went to the kitchen (30 seconds away) you'd get longer??
If your out on a P&L or Rural you don't have proper facilities unless you go to a cafe etc
Please show me something to show him i think i read it on here but can't find it

Would guess that if the cafe was your only place and nearest place to have a break/welfare stop then the 20 mins starts from when you arrive. If there are facillities nearer then you have made the choice to go further so guess the extra travel would count as part of your 20 mins. Happy to be proved wrong though if thats not the case.

Is the cafe on-route? We're not allowed to go to Sainsburys.

Yes the cafe is on the route, but 2-3 mins from where they break off.
why can't you go to Sainsburys??

You only get nectar points, whereas if you go to Tesco you get clubcard points

Wouldn't the 'break' be factored into the revision?
Unless it's a,we've decided to take half of it half way round thing.
