Bullying

Royal Mail advocate that they do not tolerate bullying and yet the managers in my office deny all knowledge of it's existence despite being present when it happened! the person responsible for bullying me has not been challenged and in fact was actually put on acting manager duties soon after.The culture that exists in the office has become intolerable but staff are too afraid to speak out as they know there will be repercussions.I feel let down by RM but have nowhere to turn and am now off on sick leave with stress and depression.I am guessing that this is the norm in many offices...how sad that the business I was once proud to work for has allowed this to happen.

Bullying is wide spread ,mainly by managers and its done in very suttle ways .We had a have your say and most of the guys put down that they had been bullied,when the have your say reaches a certain number there is a safeguard by the post office have to investigate (cough)So a investagating officer is brought in normally ex managers !!!! they ask the workforce questions about the bullying then they go away ,look at all the info and SUPPOSED TO COME BACK WITH THE FINDINGS that was about 4yrs ago AND WERE STILL WAITING ,SAYS IT ALL ,BUT IF WE bully a work colleague in there eyes we would be out the door in a flash PO cant control bullying because WHY THEY ARE THE BULLYS .

I had three telephone sessions with the B&H people,they were very nice but couldn't achieve much.I am currently having counselling through ATOS on the recommendation of my manager, trouble is that the managers do not heed the advice given to them by the professionals so what's the point in sending me in the first place? Unless they acknowledge that there's a problem and deal with the people concerned then the situation will never be resolved.......rant over !!

Oh wow what are they going to do?
Send you a strongly worded pamphlet and then tell you that it's not a bullying case it's actually `just` a grievance.
