I would like help here.

Next week i have 6 D2D's

One of my workmates has 7

Is that allowed? I was under the impression that the limit was 6 pre-revision?

Or is there a caveat that if the DOM (etc) has a weight off the shoulder solution ... then that is okay?

Whilst the original cap of 3 D2Ds was lifted I recall the limit is still set at six D2Ds. The IWT version we work from can only cope with 6 D2Ds at present, plus there may be weight issues, so there is a case to argue against delivering 6 or more whether you have had a revision or not. Any likely carry-over should have been dealt with during that week as the question needs to be asked as to 'why the need to carry-over'? Royal Mail state D2D is live mail and should be treated as such. If the delivery span is monday-saturday the D2Ds should be completed within that time frame. If there are difficulties encountered through unexpected absence etc managers should have a plan in place to cope with this. There is scope for local agreement on carry-over providing the limit of 6 is not exceeded the following week, and the D2Ds are not 'dated' making delivery the following week useless where special offers are involved.

rem the d2ds were to be sorted and packed into one clear envelope and sorted automatically with the mail

if its more than 5 it should come shrink wrapped. also weigh each bundle. I had issue with 6 d2ds last year. each bundle of 10 weighed 5 kg. there were 6 d2ds in each bundle . manager informed by rep that they should have come wrapped also weight issue. so the bigger of the d2d kept back til week later

Hardly an issue... You prep them, decide what sort of time you are likely to finish the whole delivery, then offer to complete for o/t payment or ask your lino to deal with what believe in teh excess above your hours. Simples. :thumbup
