early shift allowanceses question

Post by peedofpostie »

i ve got a question now that royal mail are imposing the changes in times does this mean we loose our early shift allowance that we were told we would get grandfather rights to as we have actually rejected these changes aswell i would not be suprised if that is the next thing to come out of this as thats what they ve wanted all along to shaft us big time :mad

Under the current Managing The Surplus Framework (MTSF), there is an allowance protection of up to 3 years. If your service is less than 3 years, then your allowance is protected for the time you have worked in the business. eg. worked 2.5 years, allowance protection 2.5 years.
Your entirely right sparky about the chance of being shafted. Grandfather rights is a crock of shite no one knows if you lose it if there is a resign in the D.O or, if you go to another part of the business.
Under the new idiotic business plan, RM want to rewrite the MTSF. This could signal the end of allowance protection and half decent buy downs for P/Time or EVR's. :d'oh! :d'oh!
