stage 3 warning

im due to be called in for a stage 3 warning any day now
ive had a ongoing medical problem for about 18 months know causing me to have several periods or work and 3 spells in hospital
i will also need 3-4 weeks of soon as the hospital have decided to do a operation
would royalmail have any chance on sacking me with all the medical evidence i have. thankyou

It would depend on the condition and the cause of the condition.
Are all absences related to the condition and recognised as such at previous stage warnings?
Have you been upfront about the condition? Is the operation going to cure the condition?
What have ATOS had to say about the matter?
Is this your first stage 3? Is the Area Rep involved?

two of the warnings are down to the codition, one is down to a bad viral condition
the absences are 100% genuin ive had 3 appendical abcesses wich have had to have drains in, they are now going to remave them wich will be the end of the problem. it is the first time i have triggerd a stage 3 and will be involving the area rep
i have done 15 years at royalmail and have no issues on my reccord during this time

just get union rep, atos report would recommend you take ill health retirement, do you want to continue with the job.
May things work out, just get the reports of each stage a good rep is needed.

i cannot see you getting sacked, instead you should get ill health retirement, atos would advise this.
If the condition is ongoing maybe an operation will work.

yes i would like to keep my job
once the operation is done in a few weeks time my attendance will be back to normal
there are no jobs out there so medical retirement is not much use to me unless the pension is paid out now aswell

Does the ATOS report say anything about condition being covered by DDA - Equality Act 2010?
If it does then your area rep should be able to defend.

its all regestered with atos and have there backing, not sure if its under the dda

I thought that the underlying problem and how it affects daily life and how long for was the deciding factor, not how it was cured. If they are likely to have or have had the condition for 12 months or more, and it affects their daily life the a case might be made for consideration under the new equality act.

i do believe it would de covered under the DDA, its bein goin on for 18 months now, its also beyond my controle
ive done all i can to get this sorted, i cant make the sergeons opoerate, its only now after the condition reaccuring so many times they are going to do the operation, the first time this happend was febuary 2011 and was life threatening

Is your condition called Hidrenitis supperitiva? if so your covered under the Equality Act 2010 as I am.

not sure what its called, but was rushed in on saturday 1st september as it flared up again and had a urgent operation to remove it
was told they got it just in time as it was severely infected and leaking into my system, got a 6" cut across my tummy and need 4-6 weeks rest
at least thats the end of it and can get back to normal if royalmail dont get rid of me.
