Hi,are you allowed to take these home and prep them?Asking because some people in our rural office take them home with them,i queried this and they said it was easier and they have'nt enough time!!!This was at 11.45 this morning when they had finished their round...with 2 hours left on the clock.

You shouldn't take anything home. If they are finishing well before the time the DOM should send them out again to do lapsing

Finishing at 11.45 sounds like a dream from the 80s that don't happen any more in our office we don't get out until 10 as for taking leaflets home to prep MAD if you ask me
. Wait till you office goes through park & loop madness perhaps your work colleagues will start doing job properly

It has gone through Pand L..Its a rural office dom comes round once a week in the morning,then see no-one.I transfered to this office and can't believe the finishing times and how easy their life is compared to other offices

What would happen if they went sick for the rest of the week? Would they have to take door to doors back into the office? Anyone doing this kind of thing is just asking for trouble imo. Doesnt take much for someone to think ill leave this weeks door to doors till next week and so on and so on.

In order to lapse walks - you need vacant walks. In order to have vacant walks you would need a robust forecasting tool and some forward planning.
Given that neither of those things exist in an average DO, there wouldn't have been any duties to lapse.

Think I would like to transfer to your office sounds like a cushty little number I still would not take leaflets home though so I prob would have to work till 12.00 still 3 hours earlier than my rural If I were you I would keep it quiet as soon as the bosses read this they will try to work out what office your from and take some hours out ! How can they prep them at home when their frame is in the office?

Hitcher, you prep them by putting them all together instead of one at a time into the frame. It was well worth it when we got paid on piece-rate. But I still prefer to prep as I put into the frame as I cannot be dealing with loose heavily glossed papers of all sorts of shapes and sizes. I just put the d2ds into the biggest one - easier for me although the marketeer might not like it

Hey, I can understand people wanting to take D2Ds home because they’re just so awesome but spare a thought for the long-suffering public out there.
Let’s not be selfish, it wouldn’t be fair to deprive them. Do the decent thing, put others first, let the public have their D2Ds.

slighly of topic but i had 6 d2d today and its a short week cheers rm dont worry th 2 hours it will take to collate these babies wont impact on my q.o s

d2ds are your work why would any1 want to take there work home with them, when i finnish im offski no work bullshit just home time ( i some time grudge coming on here cos that reason some times but its to funny sometimes not to) i just dont get it
