Hi all
Just a quick question for all you knowledgable types.
How often can you sign for a new duty?
I signed for an advertised duty and then had two weeks leave, with the closing date falling during my leave. First day back and the duty has been changed from a single delivery to a van share with a whole pile of extra delivery added on. Now I didn't ( and wouldn't) have signed for this duty as it is now and more duties have been advertised. I didn't get training for this duty and there are other advertised duties that i could also do without training. Any advice would be welcome.

Once every 12 months outside of major change.colintres wrote:

This is major change so it doesn't count.

Re: Changing duties
Thanks for the info. I thought the twelve month thing only counted if you had required tuition on the duty but the major change thing should be helpful. Cheers.

5. Employees should not be included in a re-sign unless they have completed 12 months on the previous duty they selected. The only exceptions to this are where:
.Their duty has significantly altered as defined in "Change Criteria" .New duties, above the previous template, have been advertised.
.The individual was placed into their current duty on appointment or due to consequential vacancy, following a previous re-sign.
.Less than 12 months have elapsed since the last Office/Unit re-sign.
.For specialist jobs, for which the applicant has been trained.
.As a result of serious personal or domestic reasons.
