Why do DOMs Attack?

Dominance Aggression: - When Dom and lino first meet they have a little ritual to establish who is the dominant Dom, and conversely who is the submissive lino. Because DOMs live in a pack society it is necessary for them to establish a pecking (biting shurely?) order so that the DOM knows his place in the pack. This type of aggression normally occurs between managers when they first meet, though may occur between DOM and rep.

Fear Aggression: - An extremely agitated DOM suffering from fear aggression may lunge and snap at anything close by when it is in this state.This type of aggression is easily recognizable - and will probably occur after a visit from a DSM or after ritual humiliation on a conference call.This is probably the most common form of aggression that postmen and women experience everyday.

Territorial Aggression: - a very common form of aggression. This originated when DOMs needed to defend their families and dens from predators - nowadays they want to protect their bonus.

Redirected Aggression: - often confused with other forms of aggression. However this can be triggered by someone doing something to agitate or over excite the DOM. An example of this could be cutting off.

Predatory Agression: - this is a natural instinct all DOMS have to some degree - they are born with it. You probably see it every day - when a DOM insists on timing you on the IPS ......again, or counting your mail or giving you Tuesday off.....again. Often you will see a DOM doing this for fun, sometimes though they are very serious.

Medical Reasons Causing Aggression: There may be times when a DOM is feeling bad from a poor audit, or having had a Trojan walk around the office without being challenged or even caffeine withdrawal. Something like this could cause it to act aggressively.

Warning! In the last 5 years the Region has experienced over 1500 DOM attacks.
All DOMs can be potentially dangerous though some DOMs are more dangerous than others.
If concerned for your safety, do not enter a property with DOMs, return the mail and report the incident accordingly.
