The day after a bank holiday's hours?

My manager seems to think that the Tuesday after a bank holiday isn't Tuesday's hours. Is that correct? Our Tuesday is the shortest day and because he didn't want cut off's he announced Tuesdays hours are actually Mondays? :confused So in theory, after Good Friday, Saturday becomes Fridays hours, which leaves me double :confused :confused !

Interesting,our Monday is the shortest, yet our DOM never said anything about it :hmmmm

Monday's hours are on a Monday otherwise you mess with the whole space/time continuum thingy and we end up all paradoxed into a parallel universe somewhere.
Seriously though if Tuesday's hours were Mondays you would end up on paper working more than your contracted hours since a BH credit already pays you for monday's hours on PSP.
Tell him to PSP off. :cuppa

we have short and long's but after a bank holiday they make us do a full 8 hour day for the rest of the week!!!

So they effectively change your working hours without the 28 days notice. And, in fact, by working 8 hours/day, you are working 40 hours/week and not 39 hours/week as you are paid for. So, in fact, you are giving them 1 hour free labour as a compensation for the BH. Very interesting as I can't see anywhere workers have to work extra for free after a BH.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
