Complete change of hours - Need help please -

Hi all,

My partner is a Reserve OPG ( 2 in the same house ;-) ) on a 30hr contract, she started in March of which her hours were between 08:00 and 14:00. Her duty for next week is from 14:00 to 20:00 and she really dont want to do it is she within her rights to refuse.

Could we go down the route that are they telling her to do it because we dont have children......?

i dont think its 28 days ..its reasonable notice and what is reasonable for royal mail may not be for you..
example if you had kids and payed for care during certain hours in advance for a week / month /year then that length would be reasonable to you

do you or your wife have caring responsabilities for an elderly relative that lives with you or you care for with at least 30 hrs of responsability?

what is the official rule? 28 days? is this concrete? please let me know what your dom says when you tell him you're not doing it, we have a few guys in our office with similar situations who are asked to do collections at a weeks notice.... Just want to know where they stand

Normally it's 28 days notice which is the time it takes to put in disagreements and get them seen ect.It's an MTSF thing i think.
This dude is on a 30hr contract and started in March,you know the rest.
