i am gobsmacked you wouldnt believe it cos i dont. this morning i went for my break as per duty planner tells me to was then told my manager was looking for me so went to see her and was told i couldnt take a break while mail was still to be sorted or prepped, when i pointed out that according to the duty plan i was to take a break at that time i was told
" DONT TAKE ANY NOTICE OF THAT, IGNORE IT " well its taken something like 12 months to get to the stage we are now with lots of people i.e. planners / posties and correcting errors ect the cost of which must be in the 10 s of 1000s if not 100s of 1000s and no doubt lots of hard work just to be told ignore it . am i missing something somewhere ?. at the moment im putting a letter together for moya to ask her what is the point of all of the effort by everyone involved and the expense involved if we are being told to ignore it.

On my Duty Plan, the break is after you have bundled down and before you leave the office.

If your break is the same, why were they still sorting and prepping mail?

our break times are not all the same as im on 4x 10 hr shifts and do 1 and half hrs sorting at the start of my duty and am prepping b4 my break starts while others do their sorting
