Staying or going ???

Ok so just a quick idea on if you intend on staying or going since the revisions , P&l , resigns etc etc !

Most people want to go now because the job has changed so much that there is now not enough time in the day to do the job. All the managers say is " you are not used to working harder , you have had it cushy for all those years" etc.
BUT its the managers who STILL HAVE NOTHING TO DO when we go out, I say GET THE MANAGERS OUT ON THE STREETS DELIVERING TO OUR CUSTOMERS , NOT STUCK INSIDE DOING NOTHING. must calm down sorry.

I think its maybe best that some move on, sooner rather than later, instead of constantly moaning about their job and dragging up the most mundane bull in an attempt to put a spanner in the works.

last sat it took 3 of them to cover one delivery , not much of a threat from them especally as they left all the large packets , recordeds and sent the specials out with our conveyance driver

Bet they managed to do it in half the time the regular Postman takes

its going to get worse, dont blame the managers they are only cogs, if you can find a better alternative then do it, what other jobs are going locally, or wait to get some shares if it goes private.

You are a manager) you provoke by every comment you make on these forums .I smell by your unfeeling and haughty attitude that you dont give a s**t about the very real and difficult new methods that the foot soldiers have to undertake and if i am wrong and you are a foot soldier or blue shirt, become a manager and act out your fantasy .

Line managers are charge hands/team leaders in all but name and pay. One at our place one had the gall to say that Royal Mail Managers are regularly head hunted because they are in charge of up to 20 people. Pricked his bubble when I said a Corporal/Killick in the Forces could be in charge of 100 or more.

Maybe I am, maybe I am not, doesnt make what I said untrue

I can assure you that I very much do give a s**t about the new delivery methods, having had to fight tooth and nail to get across my viewpoint that the job did not have adequate time to complete within its allocated time.

However, I dont let that mould my view on the job. I like my job and the work that I do. I dont think it is a sensible position for anyone to be in when they loathe walking into the building of their employment. I dont think its a sensible position for anyone to be in when they are looking for some loophole to get around having to pull a dipstick out of the engine to check the oil level or walk around the vehicle to check the lights are working.

Yes, I have my off days like anyone else. Days where I cant be arsed with the place, but I try to keep them few and far between.

I want a fair workplace where everyone gets along , works hard , gets a flyer now and again , makes profit etc , like the old days , but now it's like the gestapo have taken over, people who have never been on a park and loop duty, failed posties who get on with the doms and who have been made up because of that!
I couldn't be a manager , doing nothing all day, just watching and bullying the staff , not touching any of the "stock" , we just don't need them anymore , just a dom , underdom and a dom support is all that we need.
In the past i was a manager in another business but the difference was that I worked just as hard , the same hours and we were all happy!
As for Mr Clifton , I think you are one of the newbies who "knows" the dom too well and who is in his first ever employment!
