Just over a week ago I injured my ankle playing football, I had to go to A&E on the night and I was told that it wasn't a break but probably sprained ligaments. I told work I would be off for the rest of the week (tues-sat) and might be back on Monday. My ankle still hadn't fully recovered so I called them on the Monday to say I was going to see my GP to get their opinion. Immediately after seeing my ankle the Doctor said that it should have been X-rayed at the time but casting it this late would make no difference and told me to stay off work for 2 weeks and go back in 2 weeks and do light duties indoors.

I told the DOM this and he was fine about it but said I would have a referral with Atos.

They are calling me by phone tomorrow, what are they likely to say? I have a feeling they want me back doing light duties now but I can only go by my GPs advice. How will Atos make any difference or be able to determine anything by a phone appointment?

Well that works both ways.
They determine by what you tell them so make sure you tell them the truth........that you can only walk with crutches and have to be helped out of your chair by your wife and how you can only stand for 30 seconds at a time....and of course the trouble with the toilet.

a nurse will ask you questions, then send a report to the dom, and recommend adjustments, or you can a have an assessment by atos in a mail centre, which delays the process further.
give your dom a sick note.

Go with what Fish says,also,why didn't the doc sort you out an xray if it's that bad?
