and we are currently about to have the revision in our office, we went with an option that looks like this for contracts
50 x 39 hour contracts
5 x 33.15 hours
1 x 30.50 hours
1 x 25 hours
I am 59 on the seniority list and i've been told i am staying (others have had to move to a different office) I really want more than 25 hours as i have a kid etc ( i know most are in the same boat) but looking at that i will be lucky to get anything more than 25 won't i?

Anything like our office is ,if your already on a 25 hr contract ,then you'll stay on a 25 hr contract
i managed to get a duty in our office re-pick , but my hrs never went up ,they stayed at 25 hrs , but if a 39 hr contracted worker would of picked it ,then it would of stayed at 39 hrs

When we have P&L brought in I'm really hoping to stay on 25 hours - do they ask each person what they would prefer?

I think you have a reasonable chance, not everyone above you will likely like a FT contract.
When our revision came loads of us unexpectedly got offered full time contracts.

looks like i'm just going to miss out with the person above me getting 30+ :(
are royal mail going to move people up after a revision? ie when someone leaves i'll get more hours or are they just going to continue getting people in on 10 hours etc???

If they leave almost immediately then RM will not have an argument to stop people being made up to fill the vacancy as the revision will have established the office base.
Give it 6 months and they'll troy out the old "but the mail has fallen" excuse.
See if you can get it written into the office agreement that vacancies will be filled.

Since i'm staying at the office but haven't got a 30+ contract, whenever i cover these lads i should be getting the same amount as them anyway shouldn't i?
