why is it that I a part timer could prep and deliver all my d2d's in a week yet get paid less than a full timer
doing the same job.
doesnt make sense to me

It is not a part timers job to make up the D2D's. Suppossed to be prepped by full timers. Part timers only get paid to deliver them. I know I shouldnt but Iprefer to prep them myself as I kow they will be done the way i like them and it saves waiting around for some one else to prep them...prob aint gonna happen!!
I think we should be putting down over time in order to prep them but im not sure???

PS:Some part timers will have time for prep,some wont depending on how many hrs a day they work.

Wrong - there is nothing set in stone about who should prep D2Ds - they are now part of the normal workload and are included in the overall offices work plan.lucylou8512 wrote:It is not a part timers job to make up the D2D's.
Some offices will have FTimers prepping a PTers D2D only, some wont.
Some offices will have FTimers prepping the whole delivery for a PTimer, some wont.
In essence if you are told/expected/have to - prep the D2Ds for your delivery, and throw in and bag up the duty and you don't have enough time within your duty then it should be a managerial problem and they should make the decision - not you.
Also this line about a FTimer and a PTimer should get the same delivery supplement because they do the same amount of D2Ds, does that also mean a rural who has less D2Ds by amount should get less than residential walk, but his delivery takes 6 hours as against 4.5 hours.
Some have to get their heads round "D2DS ARE PART OF THE NORMAL WORKLOAD" and we don't get paid for them - the Delivery supplement is part FUNDED by what we used to be paid for D2Ds - but not wholly - I also gave up ESA of £12.95 against a DS of £21.63 - so my D2D element (if there was one) is £8.68. A 30 hour PTimer gets nearly double that.
On average a 30PT got £30 D2D money and end up with just over 1/2 that now. A 40FT got £30 D2D and £12.95 and ends up with just over 1/2 that now. So why all the noise around this, or is just the green-eyed monster and no one seeing the whole picture.

Be carefull doing that. They are now classed as live unaddresed mail. If your DIM wants to be funny you can be done for willfull delay as you have left them in the frame. Dont give them any ammo. Just do what you are supposed to every day.

As I recall, back when there was the D2D payment you couldn't claim OT for D2D because you'd end up getting paid twice.
