Joint working committees
As a local IR rep, how do you go about contacting or even finding out who is on union official on one of these committees? The reason i ask is i am currently working on the resign for the forthcoming network 12 changes, and me and my fellow rep wish to have clarification on one or two points. For example the length of a working day etc. We have read the national agreements and consulted the PDA, but we find these seem to be quite vague. I am tempted to contact my area rep first.Is that the right way to go? As we don't wish to trouble a national officer on such a small matter.

I would guess the area rep would be 1st.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
