well then, after 20 years in the job, today was my final day.
my knees just could not take any more punishment. i have a few questions though on the payment which i will receive next friday

it was 12 weeks pay in lieu of notice and 34 weeks wages.

my salary is complicated as i still receive the professional drivers money incorporated into my basic pay , so i receive each week

basic pay
recruitment and retention suplement
early shift allowance

my 12 and 34 weeks payment have been assessed on just my basic pay and recruitment and retention suplement, and does not include the early shift allowance

when i questioned this today with HR, the response was as the early shift allowance is an allowance and not part of your basic pay, it is not included in the final figures. i need that confirmed. it amounts to £600

also any outstanding holiday has not been included in the figures also. will that be credited with a seperate payslip as it is taxable

12.7 Calculation and Payment of Lump Sum Payments

The pay to be used for calculating lump sum payments is the basic weekly or monthly wage/salary of the individual’s grade (i.e. the rate of pay that they would have been in receipt of but for sickness absence or leave purchase arrangements) on the date of retirement plus any personal reserved rights payment and geographical supplement (e.g. London/RRIS) where applicable. No other elements of ‘pay’ should be included. Confirmation of inclusive elements within basic pay is available from HR Services.

Just look at it this way...you can now get another ESA(yeah if you pass the medical off Atossers that is)
Employment and Support Allowance.Everybody is a winner!!!!!!

for some reason i kept the professional drivers allowance which was incorporated into basic pay but never had the delivery supplement (household money) allowance

even though i gain on the professional drivers allowance and keep the the early shift allowance, i am down about £8.00 if i had the professional drivers and the delivery supplement

if that makes sense

i am just amazed how quick this ill health retirment is as soon as ATOS send their recomendation to the DOM

all within a week

Well my dom said ihr can be arranged in 10 minutes if i wanted it, to which I replied with a swift grievance form put in against him .

If it's not done the same time as the other pay,it should be a week later.
Best to get on to your DOM's case about it.
