over the last couple of years i have seen more and more staff members (both new starters and oldies)...crying... i have seen two box counter staff members cry ....one delivery chap...quite a few girls on the floor(young girls)...and even a line manager only a few weeks ago looked liked they had shed a tear after a good tongue lashing from a DOM....i have noticed crying does draw attention and support from colleagues and CWU reps...often offering a shoulder to criers ...perhaps this is the way forward for all of us..instead of arguing with managers/Doms and getting worked up..etc..let's just all cry..as from what i have seen things do improve once people have started to cry.

Any manager in any job that makes someone cry deserves a smacking. Just bullies. Weak.

We had one postie a year or so ago started crying a few times and then one day he was found on the floor in the toilets in the faetal position after a row with a DOM.
An ambulance was called as he was unresponsive and they took him away and he never came back and was paid off.
Plus he got his full Colleague Share allowance

Yeah mental health issues are on the increase.
Nice dig about him getting his full colleague shares though,I'm sure his family will be ever so grateful now he's out of work.

god sounds like our office, only difference is people go in and ask for a favour, change days off, hols, walk, etc DOM says no, they start crying and they get what they want, works every time, one of the nicknames is Thames, you work it out
its not good practice to make your workforce cry.
sore subject for me, after publicly humilating me, i couldnt stop myself from welling up in front of my work colleagues who had attempted to console. maybe i'm just hormonal.
next day everything fine though.
