Apple discount

Has anyone recently bought an i-pad using the Royal Mail discount scheme? I have tried using the info given in previous questions but the discount amounted to £6.20!!!

the discount is not that much at all, if you want cheaper apple stuff then go to the uk website, at the side there is a link to a refurbished zone, the items have been refurbished by apple and have a years warranty, you just have to keep checking as what they have to buy changes all the time, laptops, computer, ipad and ipods etc

the discounts not much but we work for RM and you know what they are like

Thanks for that. I did notice the refurbished ones. I just thought that the discount was about 15-17% when it was advertised in The Courier.

I was under that impression too. It doesn't apply to iPhones though, unfortunately. Save a bit of cash on the new one..

Bit late though I already have a mac, iPhone and iPad so theres no point!

For the new MacBook you save £200 though.

Or put another way. you pay about a grand more than an equivalent spec windows based laptop would cost.

Apple make pretty stuff but they can see people coming when they price it.

I'm not about to get into an argument as to why I would pay that for Apple products.

Believe me, once you've had a MacBook you never want to go back to a shoddy windows based laptop.

I'm not a 'fanboy' as such as I build windows PCs and would never use a mac as my desktop, but MacBooks are the only sort of laptop I will now buy.

Not going to get into a PC Vs Mac debate either, I know they make good kit but think its obscene the amount they charge for extra memory or 3G on their products, not specifically laptops more iPods and pads.

But I guess people are willing to pay that amount so fair play to them and their clever marketing dept.
