I would suggest they get some crutches quite quick, they may not have a leg to stand on...

Well I be happy if he gets the boot, but don't think he will. I'm all for doing it how it's meant to be done and leaving mail if u haven't got time.but to not tell managers u r leaving mail and to leave work before your shift end is just asking for trouble.

Certain ppl seem to get away with it, he's done it many times before but they turn a blind eye to it. Some ppl seem to be untouchable

Your a nice person yourself, happy if he gets the boot, why is it that morons like you are always trying to get somebody the sack.If your happy doing the job as it should be done ( not heard that said on this site before ) then just get on with it and leave him to do what he wants it's not your problem.

It becomes his problem if he is the rep for the office.
It is his problem if manager favouritism is overriding correct procedures.

Well how am I a moron??? He leaving mail and going home a hr early! That's is just not right and he leaves it for the postie who is on it the next day. I leave Mail too on busy days but work till my time and tell managers I'm cutting off.

@dblad, I would hope and expect that you do not treat colleagues who do their jobs properly and those who have a different opinion to yours with the same rudeness as you have shown here.

@Mrmassive, I would hope and expect that the employee is dealt with appropriately using the conduct code.

IMO anyone who deliberately and wilfully shows this disregard towards their employer has also little regard for their colleagues and has no place in my Royal Mail.

He is probably a floater/reserve the next day is his day off -some people are like that; they don't care what happens to the next person... Perhaps he/she just wanted to finish early or does not think working the hours he is being paid is fair

Lads in our office rush around get done 2 hours early, I don't give a toss it's up to them, some leave mail and do it the day after, not my problem, if they want to take risks it's up to them not my problem, do I hope and would I be happy if they got the sack, NO why would anybody want to see a colleague sacked..and if they did, be happy

dblad if the guy isnt doing his job properly and finishing early ,then the guy who follows him does the job properly but is claiming overtime what happens ?. The manager gets the guy whos doing job properly into office and asks him why is he claiming overtime THE OTHER GUY CAN MANAGE AND IS FINISHED EARLY , DOES THAT GUY CARE ABOUT THE GUY WHOS DOING IT PROPERLY not one bit

let me get this straight... the guy is running around like a headless chicken, making others around him unsafe and probably mis-delivering mail to gain 30 mins.... that is unbelievable where is the union ????
