39 hrs is this right

39 hrs is this right

just got my new permanent hours for my 39 HOURS DUTY.
mon 07.07-14.30 =7 hrs 23 mins
tue 0630-14.30=8 hrs
wed 0630-14.30=8hrs
thur 0630-14.30=8 hrs
fri 0630-14.30=8 hrs
sat 07.05-14.30=7 hrs 25 mins

just checking with whatever day off i have does it still come to 39 hrs par week ,dont want to be for the want of a better word conned ?

it will be averaged out over 6 weeks to suit your day off

If you are on a rotating day off you will work an average of 39hrs/week over the 6 weeks.

When Monday is your day off you will work a 39hr 25 week.
When Tues Weds Thurs Fri are your ays off you will work 38hr 48 each of those weeks.
When Saturday is your day off you will work 39hr 23 that week.

2 weeks out of 6 you will work a total of 48 extra minutes. (23 + 25)
The other 4 weeks you will work a total of 48 minutes less. (12 minutes each day)

im on 40 you lucky so so and you have had 600 quid bonus makes me sick

Royal mail are idiots.

How on earth does putting people on 39 hour contracts but them keeping the same terms (pay, pension, holidays) save money?

The idea is that you work 39/39 hours instead of 30/40. :Very Happy

Correct me if I am wrong, but was it not the union that negotiated the drop to 39 hours?
