It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

How does that work then? I am guessing that they will need to be shown as on holiday at some point on the new pay system. Do they then just put down 39 hours overtime for the previous week or something?

may i ask how you can be on leave and work it on overtime

the statutory minimum leave entitlement is 28 days a year, so how can you hide that in the figures

but i ask

why would you want to do overtime in your leave cycle as you receive paid leave anyway

claiming overtime, and if possible paid leave allocation at the same time (double bubble) would be fraud

Fraud? What exactly would the fraud being committed? Its not illegal it is against the way forward though, you would being paid your normal 40 wage for your week off, this would be deducted from you leave allocation and any hours you do would simply be put down as overtime,

You do not have to take your annual leave if you don't want it, you just must be given the right to take it

please be so kind as to read what i have put in my post

quote

You do not have to take your annual leave if you don't want it, you just must be given the right to take it

why would you want to work your anual leave as that leave is paid for, so you would be working 40 hours for nothing

it is fraud if you work your leave and then claim the holiday entitlement as extra

you cannot have paid leave and 40 hours docket at the same time

you can rescedule when you want to take your leave, that is all

Its not fraud, your talking rubbish, you are not breaking any law, you would not be working your annual leave for nothing, you would be paid for your annual leave week off and if you decided to work that then you would be paid overtime from the moment you came in, its not fraud or working for nothing

 I tried this ploy once as i had 2 weeks leave carried over from the previous year. Equalling 7 weeks leave. I said book me down the 2 weeks and i will work them on docket . Double pay . :nana No chance !! Only for the chosen few.

the act of working your entitlement in its self is not unlawful

claiming payments you are not entitled to is

the fact that when you receive your wages you make a declaration that their is no overpayment and that you are entitled to it

the point i am making is how can you do say 80 hours in a week and not contravene the working time directive for a start if you have not opted out
and has that gone over 48 hours in a 17 week period

may i ask how long you have been employed by royal mail a/flyer

yeah saw above we must have both posted almost same second, its not fraud. you have not been over paid you have been paid the correct amount for your work, 40 hours annual leave pay plus 40 hours over time pay over and above that, its not fraud in the slightest and now you are trying to bring in the working time directive as long as the opt out is signed then you can go over the 48 hour limit up
