pushing 10 weeks now...

Its been almost 10 weeks now and I've not had my Saturday off that im meant to get every six weeks. Im meant to get a rotated day off each week. I know its not always possible for the days to run in sync but I expect my Saturday off. Im gonna push for it week after next and im gonna talk to union rep too. Im gonna insist as 10 weeks is a joke. If not its a sicky for me. Ant advice anyone?

Enjoy working on a Saturday, gets you out of shopping with the mrs and if you do go out then you will be home for 9pm or you'll fall asleep in the pub. Cheap night out :nana :nana :nana

I don't mind Saturdays, much. I'd just spend the whole day in bed, anyway.

No at our place they keep voting for fixed days off - I keep voting for rotation days but get outvoted. Senior guys stuck in their ways. :wink: :wink:

Wish I could get a saturday off every now and again. Job sucks big time because I never get a long weekend so can never go on trips away anywhere, such as camping, etc.. It blows.

I was under the impression you get a Saturday off/long weekend every 6 weeks?...

Not if you've no duty, operational needs is the big thing they like to quote. As I said, just enjoy it and don't let it get to you, things will get better..........eventually you'll get them and you'll be turned into Monty Python Yorkshire men :Very Happy
