just found out today of more crap related capers from our nuthoose office and the management involved.,,,,,,after much humming and haaring, 2 lads handed back a loop last saturday, anyways, while out on delivery the dom shows up and asked the driver for his van keys. he gave them to him and carried on delivering what he had left to post. when he gets back to the van, both the doors are open and the dom is in the van going through their mail counting how many loops they had left. there was a heated arguement, the dom saying they had less loops left than they should have, and they would have time to complete. as it turned out after the mail was all accounted for, the lads were telling the truth. fekkn hell. it justs gets dafter and dafter. they,ve both put in grievances related to b/h. i would have thought it was only the i.b. who had the power to spotsearch the van, or at least that there had to be 2 managers present? he couldve planted or taken mail out the van as he pleased.

I would contact your area rep. The Dom has broken the regs by not signing for the keys, and it could be said that your colleague has broken regs by releasing keys that have not been signed for.

All sets of vehicle keys must be signed for, i.e.: where two sets of keys are used on a shared van duty then both OPGs must sign separately for each set. The person signing for keys will be considered responsible for their security until responsibility is transferred and details have been recorded on the local office key control record.

i would be of the opinion that the driver did not know he could refuse to hand over the keys to a dom. especially as he,s only got about 18 months in.(the driver that is)

I am to think that most postman suffer harassment from their dom ,we are going through a stage where the dom and the sector manager are delaying ,and sending our mail to another office, to cause a problem of there own making,with the intention of using this to start us all later.if these dom's and area managers were employed by private firms they would have been out of their jobs years ago,they all cover each other backs.its a shame that some of them don't have a conscience and blow the whistle.
