revision working or NOT ?

is there any office anywhere in the country where the revision is working ??????? . by working i mean posties doing the job as it should be done i.e. useing trolleys/taking breaks/going into work at the right time and getting finished within their time/without cutting corners ?. please let me know so i can have new hope

most of the walks at our office are working well. if the loops are set properly they should work. we have shared vans means we take all our own parcels as well as packets and mail. most still finishing early. if you work at it and set up right it will work. our cwu rep spent a lot of time on this and it has paid off. we have one guy keeps complaining but is still finishing early. cannot win with some. we still have to resign and some lining up to take the moaners walk. wonder why? even one guy put on heavy walk , and complains is till finishing early. it has been set up right. he even decided to work to rule and take all his breaks etc and still finished early

Can't see our office being successful as rm have to put hours back. Our office is still waiting, over 1 year later.

Well, if by working you mean all the Senior guys, especially Rurals, getting 2 Sats in 6 off and stilll finishing at the same time or finishing an hour or more earlier than those on 1 in 6 off ;
Hardly anyone on towns using the trolleys:
Most of the Office still coming in early by half an hour or more;
No IPS for lot of towns in order to get out and complete in time:
Towns with 5 hour plus outdoor work if using the presribed working methods:
Rurals trying to fill their days but failing miserably:
A massively heightened Us and Them situation:

The list is long and by no means exhausted. Getting it right is possible but a long and laborious process. Trying to make people understand that they need to work to Royal Mail guidelines for the period PRIOR to the revision being signed off is imperative.

However, they either cannot see the wood for the trees or choose not to for whatever reason they see fit. Rounds take longer with trolleys;FACT. The new Peugeot vans have a much smaller capacity than the Vauxhalls;FACT. The amount of time you have to deliver is now less, yet you now have letters,packets,parcels,tracked and collections;FACT

If you find that your new chosen round is now too long to complete within the allotted time, Work(as many people previously have stated on here) to the correct methods until the round is adjusted and ignore the stupid inane comments from some of your colleagues and management that you will hear day in,day out!

We still have people coming in on O/T in the mornings to sort before the Office start time in order to get all the rounds out in time to complete.
So at the moment I am afraid the Revision as it stands is not working here

Our revision has just gone in and already we are being threatened with the conduct code if we dont pull our fingers out. What a disgusting way to treat your staff, the managers cant manage people all they can do is bully them. What a way to get the best out of your workers

good luck with that been on p/l since june 2011 and all our walks still the same and failing everyday dim will not change them saying it should work (15 walks left in the other sat about 7 full and 8 part)

No they didn't.
In the past members carved the job up to make time and those who did the job properly could still finish on time...if only just.
Now a great deal of members carve the job up just to get finished on time and those doing the job properly cut off...and are isolated and harassed for their trouble.

No they didn't.
In the past members carved the job up to make time and those who did the job properly could still finish on time...if only just.

fish you know members are still coming in early and working through their breaks cause they hope to make that time at the end. I have been a rep since 1991 and I tried everything to stop that over the years I even knew an office which put their mail sort in a cage with a padlock and someon cut it wih bolt cutters all to finish early.

The CWU at all levels have tried to stop it and stop people driving their own cars to finish early we never succeeded until park and loop. yes there are some office managers turning a blind eye but most from my experience are audited and due to the capital investment required for CDVs are told to ensure no cars are used.

The CWU at all levels should ensure that members use the new tools which are now agreed tools. In addition any office which is recieving bullying from management should be flaged up and stopped.

As you know There was a conference motion which talked about failed revisons which was defeated. The quality results for period 4 was far better than for quarter 1 which does seem to demonstrate that some of the failing revisons have ever settled down or been corrected.

The point I was making was if the judge for a working revison is everyone starting on time and using the tools required then no revisons has ever worked.

I think the judgement on whether an office revision works lies with the members who are doing the job exactly how the revision laid out the job to be done,not with quality figures skewed by throwing overtime at the problems.
If the traffic is at model week levels can they complete all of their indoor and outdoor tasks comfortably within their contracted hours using all of the tools provided?
Where is the data on that?...it's not a difficult question to ask members.
Where is the feedback from Area Reps?...where have all our Area Reps suddenly gone anyway?
Are they too busy signing up to be lead safety pillar world class sketch artists?
