Treated with suspicion

Post by Lazycarton »

Does anyone else get strange behaviour when they ask someone to sign for a letter/packet?
I had a woman the other day who looked at me as if I had landed from space. Then took all the mail and scrutinised it v.closely. I asked her to print next to number 3 and sign underneath. Woman looks at me as if I was talking Swahili. Print next to 3 AND SIGN UNDERNEATH! you fucktard I have spent 5 minutes here already!

This is not the first time I have had strange responses. I suspect most of you have also wondered if the instruction PRINT NEXT TO No. * AND SIGN UNDERNEATH is a bit too difficult to grasp for some

Actually I'd find it quite arousing for a woman to talk to me like that.
I'd hope the lift was empty for the ride back down.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

The best bit is where they look like a bit of a know all and you just hand them the slip. When it comes back they have signed in the PRINT section. Slip gets handed back and I get them to do it properly. Childish but.....tee hee :dance

Why is it that I have to wait for them to have a f***ing inqusition into who sent it and why. I AM NOT f***ing INTERESTED, I just want to "Sign and Go" well....for you to sign and I can go.

Dont get me started on Gestapo receptionists!

Going in and getting a lamp flashed in my face - 'How many signers?! Answer the question! Ve have vays of making you talk...'

Me: '3'
Her: '3 signers Jenny, confirm 3 signers. 3 Jenny, 3!'

Now if it was 13 I would understand her point. But we're talking about 1-2-3. You hardly need to be Carol f***ing Vorderman to figure that one out.

you're very tolerant, postypie, because if she'd talked to me like that i would have given her a piece of my mind!! resisting my natural urge to punch her lights out! :chuckle

One firm I deliver to has a box outside the lift on their floor. I had a Special for them one day so I walk into the offices with the mail and the Special and this snotty stuck up bitch stood there and had a go at me in front of all the staff (about 20 people). 'You leave the mail in the box and then bring anything that needs signing for into me!'. I just stood there in shock. Told the managers what happened when I got back and they agreed with me, only 1 delivery point. So after being spoken to like a piece of s**t from that old bitch anything that needs a signature now gets carded.
Moral of story......don't piss off the postie :nana
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Haha good story mate and totally agree. I deliver to a Co-op store, not very big or anything, but they have a petrol station next door, so I have mail for Co-Op and also mail for Co-op Petrol station.

One day this snotty cow says 'It's petrol station that one mate' and hands it me back, I was a bit taken by surprise tbh, so for that day I just took it off her and took it over to the petrol station, but then realised what a mug I'd been, especially given how rude she was and the fact that she never even can bring herself to look up at me and say thanks when I drop the mail off.

So from now they just get their mail shoved on the kiosk with no smile, far away from where they are stood, and the petrol station letter(s) buried in with the other stuff. They haven't dared shout me back yet, I'm waiting for the day they do so I can pretend not to hear them. Do not piss off your postie!!!

End of the day I deliver to a massive Tesco's, imagine if they said, actually it's bakery that one mate, that ones petrol station and that ones the clothes store. Lazy Co-op slags.

:evil/mad :arrrghhh i had a recorded letter which needed signing for so knocked on this door and this old woman took about 7 minutes to unlock her door (i'm not joking) then accused me of trying to break into her house, after another 5 minutes of reasurring her i wasn't a robber asked her to sign for this letter which she looked at for about another 3 minutes before refusing to sign for it! :evil/mad :arrrghhh :evil/mad :arrrghhh

Ah yea, the "you're trying to break my door down" comment when they have got no door bell (or you can't hear it, so it is probably f****d), a normal knuckle rap gets no response, side of the fist = same, back of the heel with door frame rattling normally gets them :Very Happy.

I had a pregnant woman scream at me when I first started, accused me of SAS tactics. When she calmed down I managed to get her to take the slip to sign. When she looked at the letter she said "it's not for me anyway"......she was right! As I was new I hadn't realised that there was a lodge and a cottage with the same name........slinked quietly away......

Incidentally, why is it that the most expensive houses never have a door bell. Too important to be troubled by "riff-raff" at the door?
