2 yr suspended dismissal.

a lad at the office who is under this ''sentence',' today dropped a clanger by putting petrol into a deisel van. an accident which has happened hundreds of times within rm. the assistant dom has had him in and told him the dom wants to take it further, he wants to check with other offices what ''punishment'' is available to him so he can apply it to the driver responsible. is this a sackable offence when you are under suspended dismissal?? surely an accident is an accident wether you are on a disipline charge or not. its getting beyond stressful at our office now.

wouldnt worry, town delivery driver lost 9 specials at our office last week, no further action!!

he's gone on his hols now!!

the guy was a prize tit but i would think they could only take further action if it was a malicious action

i would think counseling and a slap on the wrist is warranted in this case, not a disciplinary

the only problem i can see is royal mail trying to use every trick to slim down the work force by any means
i take it the guy has more than 12 months service

how much petrol did he put in ? i myself once put two quids worth of unleaded in a van and it was ok to drive aparantly its worse the other way round diesel in a petrol

everyone sold there souls for 200 quid ( but it was a much higher figure at the time 800 i think ) they never thought about doing freebie unlimited d2ds.
