I delivered it - which meant that I had to come back to the box for it once I had enough space in my pouch - but I told the driver next day that it wouldn't be happening again. Next time I'd leave the packet in the box and just notify my manager that it was there. Wouldn't be me getting done for wilful delay.
If i was your driver and you had an attitude like that , you would find
yourself waiting ages for your bags each day . It cant be that much of a problem one packet FFS
no worries
standing around and cutting off is a breeze
of course the driver can explain why
Easy to explain- traffic busy , held up somewhere, RTA loads of reasons you could be held up. Sad thing is tho this company has turned its workers against each other ,
thats the real problem
Your right about the problem, but IF you really would do what you suggest then I am afraid you are not part of the solution.
From my viewpoint neither person came out of it well, but at least Elvis delivered it and that deserves recognition, but his response to the driver, and your theoretical response as a driver aren't exactly helping.
If the manager thinks it should be delivered by a walker, and the walker has to split his bags so be it - that's life, we all know the cut off procedure.
If the manager agrees with the walker, then he should endorse it as such. If the driver can't deliver that days work that's life - we all know the cut off procedure.
The sad thing isn't that the business is turning its workers against each other, the sad thing is that so many help them, and those that don't feel isolated and vulnerable.
