downing hours
I am thinking about downing my hours from 32.5 to 25, the 25 hour staff work a 3 day week as to my 5 day and get in earlier, obviously less money but the added bonus of 2 extra days off really apeals to me and this job is physically exhausting. Would I be entitled to a by-down?. Anyone no what 25 hour staff are on? I take home around £250.00 a week all including plus overtime.

I think its around the £180 mark. I could ask one of our postwomen in the morning, mind you she may not tell me

using you own figures a rough estimate of Take Home would be (250/32.5)*25 = £192

There's no guarantee that you will keep your 3 day week.
As soon as all the 3-day jobs are full or new staff come in, someone goes off sick on the 5-day jobs, the wind changes, anything, the managers could ask you to come in 5 days.
Plus, to RM, a 25 hour contract means "at least 25 hours".
I used to be 3-day a week before I went full time and they recently changed all the 3-day walks to different ones that are 5-day. What could the part timers do about it? Nothing.

I am on 25 hours and take home £215 with Pension and POAL taken out
