Doe anyone else get this problem with the public or is just me?
I knock on the door and when they actually get to it and open it I say
“Good Morning I have a packet here for you to sign - what name am I using to sign please”
Customer “Smith” Postie “can you sign in that big box please as I have gave it to you” Then pass them the PDA
and what does the customer do?
Yes they turn the friggin PDA around after me just explaining to them “as I have gave it to you” its pissing me off this now.

Now this is one of the biggest frustrations I have in the job at the minute!!!!

Its seriously pisses me off when they turn it around as if they know best!

'Mrs, no! I handed it to you that way as it is the correct way round for you to sign. I dont just offload the PDA to you with a grunt of 'sort it out, luv!' Turn the f***ing thing back around and sign it!' - if only I could say this to some ppl....

I didn't even know it was meant to signed a certain way. Mine will all be upside down.

I am back to using a card which should be easier as they are less scared of writing on paper

However this week i had.

Me "if you could just sign and print your name here at No5 please" Cust. "But iam number 27 not number 5"

Don't hand it to them. Keep it strapped to your hand then they can't take it either.

Then the customer hits a wrong button on the PDA and gives it you back saying "Oooh what have done to it now" had one the other week where she refused to hold the little blue pencil she said "every Tom Dick and Harry handles that I'd rather use the end of my own pen snotty git she was, maybe she could try soap and water if she is thinking germs.

I prefer handing it over rather than juggling their packet and getting their mail out of the bundle.

Depends on who it is and what she is wearing, if it's a towel or dressing gown then i hope she's called Alexandra Constantinou or similar , then i'd say "can you sign this and print underneath" then have a good gorp at her petunias cos i'm a perv like that!

Would it be so outrageous as to suggest setting down the bundle of mail? (why would you be carrying packets in your hand ?)
