sick pay

Hi all,

I have worked for RM for 17 months now and am on my fourth temporary contract. My latest contract says i have continuous service over those 17 months. I am currently off sick with a very bad back and kidney complaint and look forward to getting my warning for being so frivolous with my time off when i return. What i would like to know is will i get sick pay? No where on my contract does it mention sick pay - it just refers to a HR manual that i do not have. This worries me as i cannot afford to be paid zero yet i have no option but to stay in bed. If someone can let me know i would be most grateful. Regards

If you are treated the same as permanent staff, which you should be, then yes you will be paid your normal contract.

IIRC its after 12months/1 Years service that you start getting sick pay.
