Hi just wondered what the procedure is to get ihr?

I'm currently into 5 months of sick due to a prolapsed disc that wont go back in, ATOS have signed me unfit to work until i see a spinal specialist (this appointment is in the pipeline).

I have the chance of another job and would jump at the chance of this been offered to me, any idea of timescales?

Cheers TrueBlue lookded through that doc but what i really need to know is how long it will take before someone says i can take ihr, i know every case is different but i cant see me being able to continue with my duties in the forseeable future. I have been told my a doctor friend that sometimes discs can take up to 2 years to go back.

Guessing as ATOS don't want to see you until you've seen the spinal expert, it won't happen until then. After you've seen the doc, it will give them a better idea of what you're facing. You could also ask to be referred back early, but I'd say better to see the spinal doc first.

ok the dom should look at the atos reports, its usually after 6 months sick, its at the discretion of the dom and its done quick.
you will get a lump sum payment as you can do alternative work.
