HI, can someone tell me, I am intending handing in my notice, I know it is a standard 1 week, but what I was wondering is, can I stipulate a date ? I start a new job in the middle of August, I am owed 10.5 holiday days and was due to finish 28th July. If I state my last day of service will be 12 August can they tell me to go immediately and use my owed holidays as my notice period ?
I know an easy way would be to wait and hand it in as I go on A/L but I also know that they will find out I am offski long before then.

How do you know your hol entitlement if you don't know your actual leave date?
f your on a 6 week per annum entitlement you would have accrued 10 days upto the end of July unless you had some carried over from last financial year
That's also presuming you hadn't taken any between the end of March and now.
