maximum size of packet that can be taken by a HCT?

In our office it's who screams the loudest, that would be a driver every time, so the HCT walker would have to take the packet, all our drives finish at 12:30ish they think they are clever, this works in RM favour as the DOM said they can start doing collections. well done morning drivers, more duty loses for the afternoon collection staff

I only take small ish ones. Its really up to you as long as it doesn't make the trolley too heavy.

Get the overload driver to give you the packets with your overload bags.
6 bags of mail is all you can put in a HCT at a squash with packets so get the overload driver to give you the later packets with your additional overload bags about halfway .
Our posties with HCT's leave for delivery at about 10am with 6 bags and get the overload drivers to give them their last 2 or 3 bags about 1pm

I dont take anything over shoebox size or any of those long round tubes.

What about max weight limit of a parcel, i had a disagreement with my manager, he said i could take a 11kg parcel in my HCT i said "i disagree, as 11kg is the maximum weight limit and i'm not comfortable with that as i would have to adopt an unnatural lifting position which would put unnecessary strain on my lower back when lifting it out the HCT, I think you need a manual handling refresher course"

It's whatever the maximum size is when using a pouch, there was a security thing posted in the forums recently that said there was a limit of about 10 mins that a HCT can be out of site before everything has to be removed from it and taken with you

As far as I'm aware, anything over 1.25Kg or has dimensions over 40x10x10cm (or another squatter ~30x20x20cm size) is regarded as overweight/oversize for HCT delivery. Despite what you may be told by managers and drivers, this uncludes those chunky catologues labelled "BB" in the stamp area.
