Bigger bags or smaller loops?

Just wondering what opinions on this are. I'm just about finishing my rounds on time but still need to make up about 30 mins a day. In your experience is it quicker to have slightly bigger bags - which are obviously heavier but mean less trips back to the vehicle, or smaller ones and keep going back to the vehicle to move on a bit? Or is there no real difference? I'm just really trying to find ways to speed up a bit.

As long as you don't go over the official bag weights then you should be OK.
Remember............USE YOUR TROLLEY! Weight on shoulder should never be a problem now.
Why are you trying to speed up???

If you can't complete in your allotted time.......cut off.

Thanks, I don't mind the way I work now but I'm the only person in the office who claims overtime when I go over. The others get a bit funny about it saying I should "be more flexible" so I'm sort of pressured into trying to be quick. I wouldn't mind but I'm only on a temp contract too so compared to those idiots I look the worst.

some walks take longer to prep are you getiing out the same time as the rest of the office if not time should be allocated i.e staying of the sorting to bring duties into line.

use 2 bags on your trolley , one for bundles of letters and the other for parcels .

Does being flexible mean working for nothing. If so I have suddenly become very stiff (not in the one eyed bed snake)

Okay. Just dont quite understand this.

You are finishing just on time? But still need to make up 30 mins.

If you are on time ; then why worry?

Or are you saying that you need to finish 30 mins early?

As to the bag/weight question. Personally (and many differ) I would always take smaller loops/weight. But that is me

if you are using a l/w trolley anyway it makes no difference if its one or two bags

Thanks for the replies. No I finish on time but that's without a break (yes I know, don't shoot me!) so always end up booking that time as overtime. No one in our office takes a break and only 1 person uses a trolley. I did ask about one but was told there were no spare clips for my bag lol.

Not good enough , tell him your tieing the bag on and tell him they are mandatory and you want one.
If he doesnt give you a trolley see your Union rep
Also you are stupid for not taking a break.

Smaller loops = easier

Take your break if you want it

Use your trolley if you want to, When the revision came in your office should of recieved alot of new bags with suitable hooks
