toil system by managers

in our mail centre,managers are building up hours of credit by doing world class mail projects and putting it down under the toil system.
(time off in lieu)i believe that although the system is not unfair ,ie they get back the extra hours they have worked,some of the managers are using the system to do hours that are invisible and exceed the daily work limit under working time.We have a situation where the managers do their basic daily hours and then go on to either be out of the office doing world class mail projects or do things off the work floor.Not sure if this is happening in other mail centres or delivery offices commonly but it needs to be addressed as we as opgs get preached at for exceeeding working time!!!

Interesting i got told i could no longer do TOIL as its not built into new computer system.

I like TOIL............saves tax :-)
But it should really be available to anyone who actually wants it and should be a foolproof system for recording it...........I prefer some sort of RFID card system that you swipe in and out everytime you are at work

That sounds like banking hours DGP..very controversial.
The problem with toil as has been highlighted is the bun fight you have every time you try to get it back.
My DOM has about 70 days banked ...i think that's quite normal in RM.
