7.5 tonne driving

Thinking of applying to drive the 7.5 tonne lorries, but can`t seem to find any details of allowances etc. Any 7.5 tonne drivers on here tell me what the driving allowance is for these?

You would be classified as a professional driver .The allowance in my place is about £50.00 a week.The allowance is good because you will be restricted on the amount of hours you can work over a set period.It has to work out at no more than 48 hours per week.You would also be required to do classroom training called C.P.C., which every HGV driver in the country is now expected to do. I was very tempted to do the driving in my office,but it turns out that once you go on 7.5 driving ,they won't let you come off because of time and money spent to train you. Think carefully first and find out more from the Union rep.
