Stage 2 warnings procedure

i was put on a stage 2 last year in may, had 1 occasion of 3 days in january this year, and none after that until my stage 2 was up this may. did i go down to a stage 1 or no stage in may? management are saying if its 1 occasion of 4 days or less in the 12 months of being on the stage 2 you go down to nothing, but my union rep is saying you only go down to a 1, along with nearly all other staff. to complicate things further, the agreement online has had the line taken out about this, which it was previously there when i checked last year after going on to the stage 2 originally. it read like this '1 absence of 4 days or less will mean removal from the procedure'. This line has vanished on the latest agreement online. ive now had more sickness and am now worried instead of being on no procedure as i thought,i was actually on a stage 1 and now back to a stage 2. has there been a change in our contract recently, i know that the stage 2 to 0 rule did apply a couple years ago,as this happened to a colleague, but has it now changed? and if it hasnt why has this line disappeared from the agreement online??? please help a concerned postie

Well unless the rules have changed you should have gone from a stage 2 to zero. If things haven't changed I am a little worried that your rep doesn't know this? Of course if things have changed then your rep is a star and should be awarded a sticker!

its on the one you just linked, in Appendix A. it does seem to be in most sites i see,but this one not -

Its there in the "2. MINIMUM NATIONAL ATTENDANCE STANDARDS - EMPLOYEES NOT ON TRIAL"

1 absence of 4 days or less will mean removal from the procedure.

Thats on Page 8 of the PDF that Royal Mail used to answer a FOI request in July 2011 whereas the NI one is dated 2008.

I therefore think our copy/FOI copy is the current one.
