Yes, I was just joking. I'd already looked up the population brian and what was interesting is that it had dropped by almost 10,000 from the 1870s and seems to have gone to a steady 22.000.................so not exactly uninhabited then.

Think due to location, it might be hard to get a job there due to being an Island. You might have to wait until someone relocate/retire/died/left on health ground. You could try a job swap if there is someone who might want a job in mainland.

40 is the number of duties in my office and we have about 40k people to deliver to, I would assume that because their duties cover lots of rural areas they need so many for so few.
