This might have been covered , but here goes, due to the thundery showers we have all been expiriencing, are we allowed to take shelter? I know we have been issued STORM PROOF JACKETS but i was asked this by another postie. I personally just get on with it, but can we take cover in our untill it eases off. Just wondering.

If I'm in or near the van when it starts then that's where I'll go/stay, you don't have to get soaked just because RM want to save on a bit of OT.

Personally I quite like the rain, always have. The streets tend to clear of idiots and folks wanting to see if they have mail from 3 streets away. And in some of the estates I deliver to, it washes away and keeps down the smell of dog shite.

If there is lightning about prior to leaving DO is it a health and safety issue and should managers provide guidance
