would just like to know what do people think of d.d.a act when it comes to our job ?
We have two in our office that come under the d.d.a act and the harassment that they receive from the staff is outrageous which i find hard to understand that we could all need this it sometime in our lives.why do most people seem to think that the people under the act are always just trying to get an easy job. oh and no i do not come under the d.d.a act or equality act
The equality act is there to help those who are less able to do some or all of the work he/she use to do as a job,i always like to think in terms of what a person can do rather than what that person can't do,i do believe in a very few cases that it is a convenient excuse for a person to maybe to engineer themselves a nice little tuck up job but if a person is assessed correctly using all the procedures then it should weed out those who are trying to pull the wool,as with anything there is always the chance that a manager will abuse the act and stick a favorite member of staff in a place where they can do their best to manipulate that person,in those types of cases it makes me want to scream, if a person who has a genuine problem where it needs some form of help within the act then it is those people who suffer. If a person is injured or by some unfortunate illness within their life causes them to have to change what they do to earn a living then this is the one thing that may assist that person to stay in employment.
