These big books then.
They're big and they're heavy and I don't want to take them. Where do I stand?

Re: These big books then.
They're supposed to go out with the drivers otherwise split them up over the week and no more than one per bag and making sure it doesn't exceed the maximum bag weight.

I know they're supposed to but it may be easier for some people to avoid the confrontation with the manager over it.zx135 wrote:nope quite clearly over the 1.25kg maximum weight so all must go with driversDGP1 wrote:They're supposed to go out with the drivers otherwise split them up over the week and no more than one per bag and making sure it doesn't exceed the maximum bag weight.

The driver has better things than deliver catalogues I got hit with a 100 plus last week and the same this week, the planner don't account for the extra work load and the fact i've 21 mins for 2 walks to deliver my large packets where is the time built in?

Split 'em over the week (assumes they come early like - mine came today) - however the most soul-destroying moment of today was when I knocked on , handed it over and went back down the drive ... only to turn around and watch customer rip the plastic off and chuck catalogue straight into the blue bin
"We're under model" - oh no we're not - stick your lapse elsewhere ...

doesnt matter they are for drivers to deliver, you are taking work away from him, why dont you just take all his packets too and make him redundant, they are not to be delivered by walking posties

It's a lot of weight to be lugging around on top of the additional. I'm a young man, I want my legs, shoulders and back to be usable when I'm old.

Re: These big books then.
thats what the union rep is for, just tell him, its his job to point out to manager that drivers should be delivering them, and if he doesnt just go over his head, no nead for any confrontation with manager by any postie, thats why we pay our dues so reps will deal with this sort of issueDGP1 wrote:I know they're supposed to but it may be easier for some people to avoid the confrontation with the manager over it.zx135 wrote:nope quite clearly over the 1.25kg maximum weight so all must go with driversDGP1 wrote:They're supposed to go out with the drivers otherwise split them up over the week and no more than one per bag and making sure it doesn't exceed the maximum bag weight.

no, it's not.zx135 wrote:thats what the union rep is for, just tell him, its his job to point out to manager that drivers should be delivering them
no, you don't., and if he doesnt just go over his head
and that's why everything sucks, 'not my problem, so and so will deal with it', no nead for any confrontation with manager by any postie, thats why we pay our dues so reps will deal with this sort of issue
