Urgent Help Needed

I have a friend who has been suspended on some trumped up charges this is
part of a long term bullying and harassment campaign against him, he is in the
middle of a stage 2 grievance procedure as the grievances are towards a few managers.
The problem is my local Union rep, (as good as he is), the situation is getting very
involved and quite frankly he is out of his depth,and we think he is being “got at” by
management, I really need someone in the union who is able to stand up to the
management and has more legal experience, but I have been told he is the only rep
I can have to represent him. Is this true ? He`s from the South Wales area
