To cut a long story short, my partner and i broke up last year. She ended up with someone else, and i had to move on. Just over two weeks ago, i had found out that they had split many weeks/months ago, and she wanted us back together again. I was due annual leave, so left it until i got back two weeks later, but since back, we have given our relationship another go. 3 days back into work, her ex basically lightly threatened me whilst i was delivering his post...... Basically harassment. I responded in a quiet manner, even though i was getting very bad grief from him. I walked away with the usual name calling aimed in my direction. This was on a wed. The next couple of days, my partner had been receiving some very malicious texts and calls from him. It got my back up. On fri, i finished about 3, was late getting my son from college, so rushed to get him whilst still having my uniform on. When back about 5, i saw him, saw red, and unleashed a bit of a swear word frenzie. It was over in seconds.
The problem i have is that as i live just about next door to the PO, he wants to go in tomorrow morning and complain. I realise i should not have had my uniform on, and should have known better, but if people upset someone i care about, i just see red. I am truly worried about losing my job. I have been a postie for over 6 years, and never been in trouble, but i just feel after rushing around and not changing, this has not helped. I will contact my boss in the morning and be totally honest with him. I have no reason to lie, but will i suffer any implications because of this........sorry to go on. I feel like ringing Jeremy Kyle!
