Today the manager brought in his digital camera and started to take everybody's photo for an picture id badge.
The problem I have is I do not trust RM, not that the badges may be better, but the way it was done. I said no and was told it will be a disciplinery if I continue to object, and could be taken off delivery!!!!!!!!!
Question Was this approved by the CWU and if so should it be done by any tom dick or Harry?. What will happen to the camera pictures after?

Not everyone wants to take their clothes off for a photo shoot.
Are they making you put your names on them or only your employee number? Cause i am sure your own name and disclosure of it to members of the public is not a requirement. So refuse and take it up with your rep as adisagreement.
Apparently they're going to put chips in the ID badges.A few months ago they installed overhead monitors at every exit in our office including one over the entrance leading to the stairs to to the canteen.
We were told originally that they were to monitor mail that had been chipped so they could do some kind of track and trace for quality purposes.
A work colleague jokingly said that they were to monitor staff ie."Big Brother"
It seems that his remark has come home to roost!

I'll put mine on the express bus to Manchester, then report it lost the next day. The idea of our DUM searching the Arndale Centre looking for a scouse postie sounds fine by me.
