Just wondering if anyone has gone down this route and if so how long did it take the solicitors to tell you
a) the case is'nt worth pursuing
b) they will take the case on as you've a good chance of winning

i did but the union solictors are no good at all get your own no win no fee solicitor

Been through it all, IHR, accident insurance that they hide from you, and dealt with Simpson millar.
A) if you are aggrieved or have lost out then claim. Even if it just makes you feel better about your circumstances.
B)they will have a meeting to discuss chances of success first, then you can decide if to proceed or not. Even if your liable in some way, so are they so claim.
C) I have a long term condition so am different to smaller claims, but I have ha great assistance from Simpson millar for four years. Any case will be settled once it can be determined to an exact amount. I.e if your still experiencing treatment the case can't settle untill it's completed. As you may settle and find you have more damage in the future and now you have little to show for it. There is a lot of Royal Mail tricks they try to put you off, but do as they say I. E attend all appointments, tell truth all the time, communicate any news to Dom directly and to union and solicitor so everyone has same paperwork. That way Dom can't accuse you of anything untoward. Trust me be thorough and keep copies of everything. Atos aren't as useless as people say if your honest, they can't force you to do stuff that you physically or mentally can't do. They are there to help, although they do have royal mails view in mind too. Anything you want to ask I probably have been through so just ask on here buddy, do my best to answers ASAP.

Mine took 4 years as well, and was a * figure sum.

I was impressed with the IM solicitor who handled my case ...

Took a couple of years to sort it all out ( i had actually left RM during the process )

Ended up with a couple of bags for my trouble

I am at 3yrs now and the 3rd party have just admtted liability

The accident has caused me to be 20 per cent disability and the problem will still be ongoing .

But my problem has impacted on the way I do a delivery and this is the major problem with my dom , but simpson and Millar do not take this into consideration.

Also I come under Royal mails insurance scheme and they have taken from the 2 years probabtion part to now, still actually waiting for the pay out, had to get Legal services Tony Rupa's dept to chase Royal mail up .

Took me 4 and a half years to get that payout. As the solicitors fecked up I ended up claiming off their indemnity insurance and not RM.
