Inner London weighting.

Greetings.

Does anyone have the figures for inner London weighting, the allowance paid for working in inner London?

I have done a search on google but am having no luck so far.

Is there a link to national pay scales anywhere online?

I would just to add to this post because I am getting a little confused.

In the pay and modernisation agreement 2010 page 36 paragraph 6.13 quote.

"If the employee moves into the London or defined areas on transfer, the additional London pay/defined area pay will be deducted from the difference in the cost of the journeys, before this is then doubled to compensate for tax and national insurance. The amounts to be deducted are the standard sums and the current amounts are:

National to inner London deduct £1200.

So if I were to transfer to inner London and claim the inner London weighting I would also be paid ETE excess travel expenses because I was basically forced to move.

My ETE would be calculated annually and then a figure of £1200 would be deducted.

Does anyone know why?

I'm guessing this figure of £1200 is the tax and national insurance that I would pay on the inner London weighting/allowance annually.

I don't really understand how the system works so if anyone has any pointers it would be greatly appreciated.

The basic pay for inner London is £450.98p
