Hi,I would like to get in contact with Moya Greene,the reason why is that I was dismissed around 14 months ago after a total of 27 unblemished years service,I was dismissed for a lapse in concentration (due to a family problem) and left my engine running on my van,it wasn't stolen or anything not even out my sight,the maximum distance I was away from it was around 30 yrds.I was dismissed for the lack of security,yet 14 months down the line not being employed by Royal Mail,i still have my pass to gain entry to any Royal Mail properties.If I was a Royal Mail boss the first thing I would have done was to take the security pass from the employee involved,yet my DOM and the DAM are still sitting on their backsides earning big fat wages and bonuses,and in my eyes what they've failed to do is as bad if not worse than my case,yet they still there and I'm not,I feel they should be punished too,so that's why I'd like to get in contact with Moya Greene to put her in the picture how some of her "bosses" work.

People are usually always asked for uniform back when sacked,As for the initial post,Myself i dont think 2 wrongs make a right.

I feel bad for you that you were dismissed,I can imagine it being the worse feeling ever,Im guessing you will have a mortgage to pay and kids to feed.

Even though the people responsible for getting your pass back from you have failed,I think they also will have a mortgage and kids to feed,I would just hand it back,You will get little thanks but i guarantee you will feel better than if you get someone sacked.

It's not to do with getting someone sacked it's different standards, yes he lapsed in security of his van
but his Manager and area Manager have lapsed in the security of Royal Mail, but nothing will be said even if
this goes higher. It will be "try to remember to get the pass next time, now what's today's target"
It's one rule for some and another for others!!

I know who would be intrested eBay! ....seriously though think about it, put it up for sale with no intent to sell but right out your plight asking for any interest from career criminals etc, local newspaper gets hold of the story and there you go.

thats all very noble but it leaves other members vulnerable and security is one of the most important things today.
imagine if al aqaeda got hold of some of these passes
