Suspended None delivery of D2D items

Hi,

I have been suspended for not delivering door to doors that were found fly tipped along with my garden rubbish!

Basically my wife arranged for a garden removal service to enter our property and remove rubbish in the shed/garden. Along with the rubbish the unsupervised garden remover took my door to doors.
He then fly tipped the rubbish resulting in the door to doors to be reported and traced back to me.

I have since been suspended pending an interview on Monday.

I deliver the mail from my home, i work part time hours of 25 hrs per week and the manager organised to have the mail dropped off to my family home as i do not drive. I had previously worked from the local office but my manager advised would be easier to do it straight from home. My mail is dropped off every morning along with my d2d for the week. I fell behind as i struggled to add the weekly d2d in my frame especially as im only contacted to work 9.30-2.30. The d2d most weeks my partner and I would sit untill early hours in the morning bundling into a deliverable structure.
However I did fall behind and stored the d2d in my garden shed and was slowly working to catch up with them along with the most recent d2d and daily post.

Can any one advise me on what is likely to happen?

If you have failed to deliver D2D according to the product specification you will probably be sacked.
I have never heard of such a set-up as this. Who authorised live mail being delivered to your house?
I think your manager should be sacked as well if the events are as you have described them.

Im contacted to work from 9.30 - 2.30 most days mail isnt turning up to my house untill 10.30-11.00 at which point i go straight out to try to catch up on the time and complete work load.
This is my home which i have two oung children running around and my wife trying to continue her day to day house hold duties as well as me deal with the live mail.
It was my line manager who organised this set up. Ive never signed for the d2d sheets he had always signed them for me and literally untill last week i had never been advised on the actual procedure or importance of d2d's

No i dont have a frame, the d2d's are bought in boxes and i have to bundle them up and carry them out on a bike along with my mail. The d2d's i then just grab a bundle at a time and deliver through out the week.
I know there is no way of denying the fact the d2d should have been delivered i hold my hands up to that but the initial structure and set up of my work is poor!

Ive also asked for a trolly or additional equipment to assist me in my work load but i have repeatedly been ignored.

If you cannot put forward a convincing story to us when you have time to think before typing, how on earth do you expect to put a convincing argument to the Appeal Manager?

I refered to frame as being adding the door to doors into my mail which had already been through the frame!
No i do not have a frame in my home in which to add the d2d's to.
Im not trying to convince anyone I have already stated i had fell behind which I understand is a sackable offence. I mearly asked for help and advise for what i can expect procedure wise!

I dont even go into the office, the mail is bundled up already for me to post. I only work part time. I stated i didnt have the time to add the d2d's into the frame - This is because i dont go into the office.

Maybe but unlikely, they will have to look at the results of your interview and then make a decision (I believe the DSM or similar grade has to make it).

You will have a fact finding interview if you have not had that already.

They will carry out an investigation.

Possible outcomes after the investigation are: (in order of severity)

Nothing (unlikely given what you have put on here)
Serious Warning
Suspended Dismissal
Allowing you to or Suggesting you resign
Dismissal for gross misconduct

Prosecution is a possibility as well, for that reason I would suggest contacting a rep if your in a Union, or if not then seeking advice from a Citizens Advice.
